9 Must To Do Things In Krabi -Thailand

Our preferred location in Thailand is Krabi. It has taken us numerous trips to Krabi to experience everything there is to offer. With gorgeous limestone cliffs that are naturally occurring, mangrove forests, and more than 150 islands, this stunning province in southern Thailand packs a powerful punch. With Krabi on your agenda, a trip to Thailand is complete. You'll be eager to visit Thailand when you experience what Krabi offers.

Best Things To Do In Krabi Thailand

The islands will be the setting for the first half of this best of Krabi post before we move to the mainland to highlight all the must-see attractions in and around Krabi Town. Therefore, let's begin. A Krabi tour package includes so many fun things to do, but there are a few that are not to be missed.

Rock Climbing In Railay:

Our list of the top activities in Krabi is headed by rock climbing. You should include this activity in your Krabi tour package. We immediately headed to Railay to climb in Krabi during our first trip to Thailand in 2000. It is among the top locations on earth for learning how to rock climb. Over 300 climbing routes up its limestone cliffs attract climbers of all skill levels. We always make it a point to rock climb at Railay whenever we return. King Climbers and Hot Rocks are reputable and reasonably priced; we have risen with both. Join them on a day-long top rope rock climbing adventure or enrol in a multiday rock climbing course to learn how to lead climb.

Numerous businesses offer climbing lessons in Railay, but you should only schedule with those operating on the island for a long time.

Accommodations in Railay:

In Railay, we have stayed in various capacities. It doesn't matter where you go because the destination is small and can usually be reached on foot. Your budget will determine everything. I like Railay Bay Resort & Spa for an upmarket stay, while Diamond Cave is a fantastic mid-range option.

Railay Beach:

Some of Thailand's most stunning beaches may be near Railay. After a day of rock climbing, spend a few nights relaxing on Railay Beach. The most attractive beach to sunbathe or rent a kayak is Railay Beach East. The nightlife is concentrated on Railay Beach West, although you may also go caving at Phra Nang Beach. At Railay Beach, there are many things to keep you busy. The nightlife is vibrant on Railay, and restaurants line the beach for the perfect chill-out experience.

Wat Kaew Korawaram:

One of Krabi's most significant temples, Wat Kaew Korawaram, is in the town's centre and is a must-see sight. The entrance to the white temple has a stunning staircase with elaborate carvings and gold dragons. Due to the decorations, the temple glows golden at sunset, improving its appearance.

Advice: Visit the Krabi Night Market and the temple simultaneously.

Sea kayaking while taking in the landscape:

The rocky Krabi coastline provides excellent opportunities to paddle beside the picturesque shore and explore intriguing sea caves. You can witness various aquatic species swimming beneath you in crystal clear waters and find fascinating rock formations and breathtaking views everywhere you look. There is much to uncover, from secret lagoons to mangroves teeming with wildlife. Many tour companies provide kayaking opportunities, and some excursions also include snorkelling. Kayaking is quite popular and beautiful at Ao Thalane.

Enjoy Ao Nang's nightlife:

The primary beach resort on Krabi's mainland is Ao Nang. Additionally, it offers the busiest nightlife on the continent. Ao Nang provides a lively and enjoyable night out even though there aren't as many flashing lights, loud sound systems, and wild parties as you would find in adjacent Phuket. There are several bars, most of which have a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Simple coastal shacks, dive bars, sports bars, live music venues, and swankier establishments with stunning vistas and delectable cocktails are dispersed across the region. Centre Point features a dance floor and live music, while Soi RCA is the place for frivolity.

Discover beautiful nature areas:

Any lover of nature or the great outdoors will enjoy Krabi's top-notch outdoor attractions. Before exploring the forest paths and waterfalls, dip in the Emerald Pool at Forest Natural Park. Klong Thom Hot Springs' warm, mineral-rich waters are also accessible nearby. A lesser-known natural destination with an exciting variety of flora and animals, trekking trails, and waterfalls is Khao Phanom Bencha National Park. Visit Susan Hoi's prehistoric landscapes and hundreds of fossils, and discover the caves at Khao Khanab Nam's foot. Outdoor excursions are also fantastic at the Koh Phi Phi viewpoint, Maya Bay, and Koh Lanta National Park.

Buy everything you want in crowded markets:

It's a great idea to stroll through the markets in Krabi to try various delectable prepared foods and snacks and look for unique gifts—everything from local artwork and crafts to souvenir t-shirts and souvenirs here. Krabi Town hosts a sizable market on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, with vendors taking over the streets and blocking traffic. Every day from early morning until noon, the vibrant wet market of Maharaj Market is open. Not a morning person? Instead, check out Talad Sod, which is open daily from 4 pm until 9 pm. Ao Nang Market, Nongtalay Market, and Klong Muang Market are additional local markets open on different days.

Take a bite out of southern Thai specialities:

Krabi is home to various southern Thai things and Thai favourites like som tam, grilled meats, fried rice, and pad Thai. Halal meats make this a terrific spot for Muslim foodies. The substantial Muslim population has had a significant impact on many local recipes. Malay cuisine and many regional cuisines share many similarities. There are several dishes to choose from, like massaman curry, roti, khao mok gai (yellow rice and chicken), and the spiciness of kua kling. There is also a tonne of fresh fish.
