Itinerary for Kerala Tour Package :  14 Nights & 15 Days

Day 1 :   Arrival to Kochi

Upon arrival at Cochin International airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Formalities at the check-in desk. In the evening, relax at the hotel in Cochin and spend the night.

Day 2:   Kochi Sightseeing

The port of Cochin serves as the gateway to Kerala. A beautiful seaside city, it is flanked on the east by the Western Ghats and on the west by the Arabian Sea. See historical sites such as Fort Kochi - Jew Town, Jewish Synagogue (closed on Saturdays), St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace (closed on Fridays) and Chinese fishing nets. 

In the evening, one can stroll along marine drive. The backwaters and harbour of Cochin can be seen from the shared jetty here.

Day 3:   Kochi to Athirapally

Let's head to Athirapally, which is 72 KM away from Kochi and takes two hours to reach. Kerala's Athirapally falls are among its best attractions. At 1000ft above sea level, Athirapally falls can be found. Forests and streams combine to create a scenic landscape. Athirapally jungle resort is a great place to spend the night.

Day 4:   Athirapally to Munnar

In the morning depart for Munnar [ 128 KM / 4 hours], a place located at the confluence of three mountain streams 1600 meters above sea level. Upon arrival, explore the tea gardens of Munnar, take pictures there, and head to the tea factory to see the tea making process.

You can also visit the Tea museum to learn more about tea, its significance, and other details. Spend the night at a beautiful hillside resort.

Day 5:   Munnar Sightseeing

The experience in Munnar will be much more interesting as we will take you to the Eravikulam National Park (closed in February and March). The Nilgiri Tahr inhabits the park and is one of its most famous inhabitants.

Mattupetty is another place of interest located about 13 km from Munnar Town. Known for its beautiful lake and storage masonry dam, it is a popular tourist destination.

Day 6:   Munnar to Thekkady

It's time to explore wildlife after hills station. Known for its wildlife reserves and picturesque spice plantations, Thekkady is 91.4 km/2.5 hours away. 

After arrival, relax for a while and then proceed for a Kalaripayattu performance, the oldest martial art in the world and known as the mother of all martial arts. Get back to the hotel for a relaxing stay.

Day 7:   Thekkady Sightseeing

In the morning, head to Periyar wildlife sanctuary, Thekaddy is one of the best wildlife reserves in India. Here, more than 60 species of mammals can be found, including Asian elephants, tigers, Indian bison, sambar deer, Indian wild dogs, leopards, barking deer, etc. 

Periyar Lake is a great place for boat rides. You can enjoy elephant rides inside the park if you are comfortable riding on the elephant's back. A short walk through spice plantations in the evening. Spend the night at a resort in Periyar.

Day 8:   Thekkady to Kumarakom

At Kumarakom, an enchanting backwater destination [132 km, 4 hours] we visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which is a favourite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. 

Day 9:   Kumarakom to Alleppey

Morning post breakfast leave for Alleppey [ 38 KM / 1.1 H ], Alappuzha famous for the backwaters. Dotting the coastline of the Arabian Sea, Once board on houseboat you can see rural lifestyle of Kerala and their livelihood and lifestyle.

Enjoy on board Lunch, Dinner and evening snack. Spend night at Houseboat.

Day 10:    Alleppey to Kollam

De board Alleppey houseboat and visit city located on the bank of Ashtamudi Lake [ 87 KM /2 H ]. Kollam is also known as Quillon. Here place of interest are Tangasseri Lighthouse and The Ananda Valleeswaram Temple. Remainder of day you can spend at Kollam Beach which is first beach wedding destination of India. Night spend at Kollam.

Day 11:   Kollam to Varkala

Head to another famous beach destination [ 35 KM / 1 H ]  Varkala. Varkala is the only place in southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to Arabian Sea. Varkala is famous for the 2000 year old Janardhana Swami Temple , Ayurveda treatment centres and off course for Varkala Beach. Varkala beach is haven for sun bathing and swimming, the evening views of the sunset are worth lingering over.

Day 12:   Varkala

Day leisure for independent activities and relax at beach.

Day 13:  Varkala to Poovar

Head to Poovar [ 70 KM/ 2 H ] a village is almost at the southern tip of Trivandrum. This village has several island resort and beautiful beaches which attracts lots of tourist. Day at leisure at Poovar and relax.

Day 14:  Poovar to Kanyakumari

Today, excursion of Kanyakumari [ 71 KM / 2 H ] surrounded by Majestic Hills and the plains. The area is very beautiful. Places of Interest are the Thiruvalluvar statue, Vivekananda rock memorial is a popular tourist monument, the Gandhi memorial and last but not least Bhagavathy Amman Temple. Evening back to Poovar Island and relax.

Day 15: Kanyakumari to Trivandrum

Time to leave for Trivandrum airport to board on flight to onward journey. Tour Terminates Here.
